The number of fatal overdoses from heroin and fentanyl are rising in Cuyahoga County.

The county medical examiner reported on Thursday six more fatal overdoses in Cuyahoga, which occurred from  March 23-27. The overdoses were from heroin, fentanyl, or a combination of both.

Cuyahoga County lost eight people in four days to heroin and fentanyl overdoses just last week.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office offered a chart listing the victims. It included four men and two women, with ages ranging from 20 to 69.  The victims were from Cleveland Heights, Middleburg Heights, Brook Park, South Euclid, Cleveland, and Chardon.

Cleveland police reported on Wednesday at 1:12 p.m., officers were dispatched for a man found face down on the train tracks behind 2110 W. 110th St. When they arrived, officers spoke to the caller who pointed out the body laying face down 2 feet away from the train tracks that ran south behind A-Brite Plating Company. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Cleveland police said they tilted the man's body to remove a wallet from his rear pocket and a syringe was found underneath him, but not stuck to him. Police said there were no signs of violence to the man's body.

Police identified the body as Andrew J. Bentley, 27, of Cleveland. They learned Bentley lived at a rehabilitation facility.

In another fatal overdose incident, Cleveland police were dispatched on Wednesday to an apartment on East 74th Street for a dead body suspected to be a heroin overdose.

When police arrived, they spoke with a man who called 911 because he was worried about his friend's well being. Fearing something was wrong, the man and a maintenance worker drilled out the door lock and entered the residence. They found the victim, Bradley J. Parro, 58, of Cleveland, was face down on the ground and unresponsive. The caller told police Parro was known to use drugs and drink alcohol.

Police said syringes and a burnt spoon were found on a table in the apartment. Cleveland EMS pronounced Parro dead.

Cleveland police reported one incident on Thursday which was also a suspected overdose. Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of East 65th Street. Upon arrival, medical officials were seen performing CPR on a man in the kitchen. One official told police the man was going to be taken to Marymount Hospital.

A woman told police she found the man's body in his bathroom after she knocked on his door and got no answer. She pulled him out of the bathroom and poured ice on him to get him to wake up. She started to perform CPR and then called 911.

Officials said the woman told them the man went into the bathroom to shoot up and was in their for 45 minutes. She also said the man had just gotten out of rehab at the Stella Maris Center in Cleveland.

Police said no needles were found in the home. The victim was identified as 46-year-old Gregory Lubecki, of Cleveland.
