Angelo's Pizza in Lakewood taking ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and donating half its sales from 4-11 pm

Owner will match employee donations too

LAKEWOOD, Ohio - Tom Kess knows about adding toppings. Kess owns the popular Angelo’s Pizza in Lakewood. He’s used to topping pizzas, now he’s taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and topping it – twice.

Wednesday afternoon, Kess and manager Brandon Salman  will have buckets of ice water dumped over them in front of the Madison Avenue store.

“I know these employees are looking forward to having me get water dumped on my head because I am kind of a prima donna a little bit,” Kess said laughing.

Topping the challenge, Kess will donate half of the sales proceeds from pizzas sold between 4 and 11 p.m. Wednesday.

"It's going to be significant, I think we can sell 1,500 pizzas tomorrow, it's hard to say how much money we going to raise, but half of the proceeds from all the pizza are going to that,” he said.  “We'll be prepared for it, it could be huge."

Want another topping? Kess will then match any donations his 70 employees make to ALS.
