CLEVELAND - Cleveland Police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was fatally shot on Cleveland's East Side late Sunday morning.
Police received the call for a man shot in the 10500 block of Columbia Avenue near East 105th Street around 11 a.m.
Preliminary investigation reveals that two males were exchanging gun fire on Columbia Avenue and during the exchange of gunfire the victim, who was not involved in the incident, was shot in the abdomen as he stood on a porch.
The male was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The official cause of death will be determined by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
There are no arrests at this time and police have not yet released any further information on the suspects.
