Heading downtown for the parade Wednesday?

Here's what you need to know:

  1. Bring water: Parade goers are encouraged to bring an ample amount of water for themselves and for children.  Water will be available from vendors on site, but it is important to consider bringing your own supply.
  2. Create a family meeting spot: Attendees of the parade are encouraged to discuss with family and friends a designated meeting point should members become separated.  Children should be monitored closely and told that should they become separated from family to seek out a person in a uniform.  Cleveland Police officers and other members of partnering law enforcement agencies will be highly visible as will members of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (blue and yellow uniforms) and all have radio contact back to the command center.
  3. Restrooms: There will be porta-potties set up for fans to use. They will be located along the parade route and at the Mall B rally zones.
  4. Sunscreen: Bring it! And reapply! It will be sunny and HOT.
  5. Parade route: Any one not credentialed to be in the parade itself shall NOT enter the parade route.  The parade route is for permitted participants only.  Anyone entering the parade route is subject to arrest.
