The U.S. Marshals on Tuesday recovered a child who was taken from his mother's home while she was in the shower.

According to the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, Todd Allen, 24, went to the home of the child's mother and took the child. He then took the mother's car and fled.

The task force discovered Allen was staying at the Woodspring Suites in Akron and when officers went to the hotel, they found the missing vehicle in the parking lot. Officers searched Allen's room and the missing child. Allen was arrested and the child was reunited with his mother.

Allen was previously wanted by the Akron Police Department for interference with custody, burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He was also wanted by the Summit County Sheriff for aggravated burglary and domestic violence, the Fairlawn Police Department for theft, forgery, and obstructing official business, and the University of Akron Police Department for theft.
