COPLEY, Ohio - The trial for a woman and her father accused of illegally enrolling her children in the Copley-Fairlawn School system has been delayed.
The trial was set to start Wednesday in a Summit County courtroom, but has been rescheduled for later this month.
According to court records, Kelly Williams-Bolar and her father Edward Williams are charged with allegedly falsifying residency records and enrolling Williams-Bolar's two children in the Copley-Fairlawn School District.
The two are facing charges of tampering with records and grand theft from the school system.
The school system contends the two lived in the Akron School District and should have paid approximately $7,000 per student per year to send the children to Copley-Fairlawn.
The trial is set for January 12 at 9 a.m. in Judge Patricia Cosgrove’s courtroom.
