AKRON, Ohio - Ribs and the Fourth of July weekend go together like peanut butter and jelly. The 39th annual Rib, White & Blue! National Rib Festival runs from July 2 to July 5 in downtown Akron.
Twelve vendors from seven states will be cooking up their ribs and slathering on their special sauces. All hoping to win the "Best Of" competition.
Entertainment will include live bands performing on the Lock 3 stage and a fireworks show Friday at 9:45 p.m., with the help of the Akron RubberDucks.
Admission is free for all four days.
