A pedestrian who was reportedly laying on train tracks in Canton Wednesday afternoon was struck by a train and killed.
According to Canton police, the person was struck by a Wheeling & Lake Erie train in the 2200 block of Dover Avenue N.E. just after 3 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Canton police are investigating the accident.
