CANTON, Ohio - Police continue to deal a major blow to Canton's most violent gang, arresting six more men Thursday during pre-dawn raids.
The "Rated R" gang continues to be broken down, with Canton police and the FBI bringing the total number of arrests to 23 since Operation Knock Knock began.
Authorities said the gang operated in the city's northeast neighborhoods, delivering cocaine, crack and heroin from a Columbus pipeline to the Canton area.
The arrests resulted in police confiscating more than one kilo of cocaine, more than $50 thousand in cash, plus jewelry, cars and numerous weapons, including an AK-47 assault rifle.
The FBI used wiretaps during the investigation.
17 men were previously arrested, six more men were arrested Thursday morning.
Two more men are wanted by police.
Canton Police Chief Bruce Lawver believes the weapons seized during the raids were likely used in other violent crimes.
The U.S. Attorney's office has filed numerous indictments in connection with the case.
