Multiple aggravated robberies reported in Akron

Police are investigating a number of aggravated robberies that occurred between Saturday and Monday. 

On Saturday around 2:53 a.m., police were told a 57-year-old victim exited his home in the 1000 block of Stroman Street. Suspects approached him with a gun and demanded he go back into his home. The suspects took his money, wallet and clothes, and then pistol-whipped him.

A 49-year-old woman was also in the house and money was taken from her as well.

The suspect was described as a black man between the ages of 39-51.

The same day around 4:30 a.m., it was reported to police that a 37-year-old was texting a woman asking her to meet him in the 200 block of Thornton Street. Once inside the residence, a suspected confronted the victim with a shotgun and took his money.

After an investigation, officers identified the suspects as 25-year-old She'Nae L. Clements and 21-year-old Shiloh T. Small-Moore. They were both arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

On Sunday around 2:30 a.m., a 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman said a suspect approached them and demanded money. They were both robbed of cash. 

On Monday around 1:20 a.m., officers responded to South Street and Sweitzer Avenue for a robbery. Police were told two victims were walking down the street when suspects carrying guns approached them. The suspects took their money and a cell phone.

The suspects' car description was broadcast and police later found the vehicle parked on Cicero Place near Miller Avenue. While officers checked the car, the victim's cell phone and a gun believed to be used in the robbery were located.

22-year-old Javonte Bynum was arrested and charged with robbery.
