The body of a man found in an Akron woods Thursday has been identified as 26-year-old missing Barberton man James McNeal, the Summit County Medical Examiner confirmed.
Akron police are now investigating the man's death as a homicide.
According to the Medical Examiner's Office, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
The man was found before 10:30 a.m. on Kenmore Boulevard and Theodore Street.
