Firefighters pulled a man from a burning Akron home overnight.
The home on Marvin Avenue went up in flames just after 6 a.m. Friday.
Firefighters pulled the man from a room on the second floor. He suffered from first and second degree burns and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Firefighters also carried a dog from the home. The pet was running around and appeared to be OK.
A woman was able to escape from the home on her own. She was not injured.
