AKRON, Ohio - Five people were arrested after a meth lab with a "very large amount of chemicals" was busted in Akron.
The ordeal started when Akron police pulled over a car they said had just left a possible drug house on North Main Street at about 4 p.m. Monday.
At the time, additional officers went back to that same house to talk with the homeowner. Police said there was a strong smell of chemicals commonly used with the manufacturing of methamphetamine coming from inside the home.
Akron police then obtained a search warrant and found two labs in the house.
In addition to the drug labs, police said they recovered more than $11,000 in cash, 25 grams of meth and a lot of chemicals.
These five people were arrested and charged with illegal manufacturing of methamphetamines, illegal assembly of chemicals, trafficking in methamphetamines and possession of methamphetamines.
