Classes are canceled again Tuesday at Ellet High School in Akron after a fire over the weekend.

Akron Fire said on Sept. 10 around 11 p.m., crews responded to an alarm at Ellet High School.

Light smoke was found in the hallways. Akron firefighters searched each room until they found the fire and extinguished it.

A foam truck was called in to help ventilate the smoke from the building.

Akron Fire Lt. Todd Webb said the damage is estimated at $100,000.

According to Akron Public Schools spokesperson Mark Williamson, officials said the fire may have started in the maintenance office and the construction program area may have received the most damage.

Ellet High School was also closed Monday for cleanup.
