Police said they responded to a Popeye's restaurant to search for a robbery victim. They found the victim, a woman, in her car. Officers soon learned the victim was a driver for Ride for Less Taxi Service.

The victim told police she gave "Marco" taxi rides several times before. She believed he was 21-years-old and worked at Best Buy.

The victim said she went to pick up "Marco" on Donald Avenue. He asked her to pull into the parking lot off Eller Avenue. "Marco" told the victim they were waiting for his friend. When his friend showed up, he hit the victim on the head, grabbed her neck, covered her mouth and punched her in the back of the head while telling her to "shut up."

The victim told police she tried to fight "Marco" off. He eventually grabbed her purse and both suspects fled the area. She refused medical attention with no visible injuries.

"Marco" was described as a white man who was over 6 feet tall with a chubby face and heavy build. He was also said to have longer wavy brown hair that was brushed forward and also possibly had a light mustache but no other facial hair.
