AKRON, Ohio - Akron police were involved in an hour-long standoff just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers said they were called to the 700 block of Sylvan Avenue after someone reported hearing gunshots coming from a home.
Once police arrived, they were able to see people inside the home, but for an hour could not get everyone to come out of it.
Police used a loud speaker and yelled commands to those inside to eventually get everyone to come out of the home.
Officers detained about a half dozen people, but had not officially arrested anyone as they tried to sort out what exactly had occurred inside the home.
Police said no one was injured, and no gun had been recovered.
