AKRON - An Akron man accused of shooting a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated murder.
Before 11 p.m. Thursday, Akron officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 1400 block of Alphada Avenue.
Officers arrived and found a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds, according to Akron Police Department.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
On Friday morning, Akron homicide detectives, along with members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested Marcus Turner, 36, in connection with the shooting.
Turner is being charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault.
The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of the family.
