AKRON, Ohio - An Akron man accused of robbing a bank Monday morning is now behind bars, charged with the crime.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. at the KeyBank on South Main Street. Employees at the bank reported the suspect walked inside and handed the teller a note demanding cash.
The suspect then reportedly took off with an unknown amount of cash and a dye pack.
Authorities said the man took off southbound toward the Mayflower Manor where the dye pack exploded. The suspect continued southbound to Buchtel Avenue where he boarded a bus. The bus was stopped on South Main Street where the man was taken into custody.
Officers arrested and charged Bryan Boyer Sr., 50, and booked him into the Summit County Jail.
