AKRON, Ohio - AT&T is bringing its 4G LTE network to customers in the Akron and Canton area.
The company said this will bring customers the latest generation of wireless network technology. Some of those benefits include faster speeds, new devices and faster response time.
LTE refers to lower latency, or the processing time it takes to move data through a network. Lower latency helps to improve services like mobile gaming, two-way video calling and telemedicine.
Larry Evans, vice president and general manager of AT&T Ohio and western Pennsylvania, said the company saw the demand for mobile internet skyrocket in recent months.
Evans said expanded 4G LTE service will be available in Cleveland this June.
