$1 million bonds for men charged with murder in Akron quadruple homicide

AKRON, Ohio - Two men charged with murder in execution-style killings of four Akron residents appeared in court Friday morning.

Derrick Brantley and Deshanon Haywood, both 21 and each charged with four counts aggravated murder, as well as four counts of aggravated robbery, were each given $1 million cash bonds.

The four victims were 24-year-old Ronald Roberts, 23-year-old Kem Delaney, and 19-year-olds Kiana Welch and Maria Nash.

All of the victims were found in the basement of Roberts' townhome on Kimlyn Circle near Chapel Hill Mall on April 18.

They died from gunshot wounds to their heads. Police said two guns were used

Both suspects will next appear in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas June 7 at 8 a.m.
