PARKMAN, Ohio - Portage County authorities arrested 12 people following a drug bust over the weekend at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park.
The Portage County Sheriff's Office and the Portage County Drug Task Force had been investigating after several complaints about drug trafficking in the park.
During the undercover narcotics operation, authorities also seized two cars, drug paraphernalia and cash, as well as other drugs, according to Portage County Sheriff David Doak.
The following people were charged:
-John C. Lucci, 24, Kent: Carrying a concealed weapon, having a weapon under disability, trafficking in marijuana.
-Jeffery L. Bylina, 20, homeless: Trafficking in LSD.
-James M. Townsend, 55, Virginia Beach, Virginia: Trafficking in LSD.
-Scott T. Allen, 19, Glen Dale, West Virginia: Trafficking in marijuana.
-Brittany D. Crow, 22, Moundsville, West Virginia: Trafficking in marijuana.
-John E. Eckhardt, 19, Moundsville, West Virginia: Trafficking in marijuana.
-Anthony C. Lucci, 20, Chagrin Falls: Trafficking in marijuana.
-Jacob A. Hutt, 19, Hudson: Trafficking in ecstasy.
-Christopher McComis, 23, Parma: Trafficking in LSD and aggravated trafficking in drugs for the sale of psilocybin mushrooms.
-Brian C. Clark, 23, Greensburg, Pennsylvania: Trafficking in LSD.
-Mathew D. Maizel, 26, Lowelville: Trafficking in marijuana.
- John E. Gerger, 31, Geneva: Trafficking in marijuana.
According to deputies, John Lucci was armed with a loaded gun and has been convicted on numerous violent crimes in the past.
More charges are expected. All of the suspects were taken to the Portage County Justice Center and were arraigned on Monday.
Deputies also issued eight other court summons while patrolling the area during the raid.
