CLEVELAND - It looks like the warm weather is finally here to stay in Cleveland and it's time to take advantage of it. Let's get outside this weekend and experience the fun activities Cleveland has to offer.
Cheer on the Tribe
The Cleveland Indians return to Progressive Field tonight after a seven-game road trip to kick-off a three game weekend series against the Colorado Rockies. It's Dollar Dog night tonight and fireworks will be shot off after the game, so if you are looking for some family fun, head on down to the ballpark and cheer on the Tribe. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
Church of Saint Clare Festival
The annual Church of Saint Clare Festival is currently underway at 5659 Mayfield Road. From now through Sunday evening, families have the opportunity to ring in summer with free, live entertainment, great food, amusement rides, games and much more. All families are encouraged to come out and enjoy the weather.
Cleveland Fashion Week
Tonight marks the beginning of the 10th annual Fashion Week Cleveland. For one straight week, the city of Cleveland is given the opportunity to see the latest fashion trends and participate in fun activities. With parties, retail events and a fashion show, the events capture the fashion scene of Cleveland. The week kicks off tonight at 5 p.m. at the 5th Street Arcades at 530 Euclid Avenue with Retail's Night Out, a fancy sidewalk sale to promote bringing more quality retail downtown.
Cleveland International Classical Guitar Festival
The annual Cleveland International Classical Guitar Festival is back for the 14th consecutive year, giving you the opportunity to see internationally acclaimed artists from around the globe. A number of recitals and premiere performances begin tonight at 8 p.m. and will carry through Sunday. All performances will take place in the Cleveland Institute of Music's award-winning Mixon Concert Hall. Tickets are $22.
Art in the Village
If you are in the mood for some fine arts, head on down to Legacy Village on Saturday or Sunday for the 24th annual Art in the Village Festival. More than 150 artists will be on display featuring mediums such as paintings, jewelry, photography, sculptures, ceramics and much more. Don't miss out on this opportunity to pursue great works of art, dine at local restaurants and enjoy the day with the family. The weekend kicks off on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
If you have a family full of animal lovers, head on down to the Cleveland Metropark Zoo this weekend and check out all the unique exhibits including a brand new, state of the art Circle of Wildlife Carousel which contains 64 beautiful, hand-carved animals carved by Mansfield, Ohio-based Carousel Works. Single ride tickets for the carousel are $3 and $2.50 for Zoo Society Members. All day ride passes are available for $8 or $6 for members.
