Northeast Ohio high schools among best in the nation in the U.S. News and World Report 2013 rankings

CLEVELAND - Five local high schools were named in the top 500 across the nation in the "U.S. News and World Report 2013" Best High Schools rankings.

U.S. News looked at more than 21,000 public high schools in 49 states and Washington, D.C., awarding them gold, silver or bronze medals for best in state standards and other criteria.

Chagrin Falls was the topped ranked high school in northeast Ohio, ranked No. 6 in the state and No. 205 nationally.

Hudson, Aurora, Solon, and Bay High Schools were also ranked in the top 20 in the state and top 500 nationwide.
