A Cuyahoga County grand jury issued a 14 count indictment against 44 year old Jesse Joe Cundall of Eastlake for allegedly selling more than $1,000 in fake Cavaliers tickets.

Cundall was indicted and issued a $150,000 bond on June 1.

Cleveland police report Cundall allegedly sold the fake tickets to the Cavaliers/Golden State Warriors Christmas Day match-up, and was later arrested at his Eastlake home in April 2016.

Cundall is facing charges of theft, forgery, telecommunications fraud, trademark counterfeiting and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.

Cundall pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and is set for a pre-trial hearing in Cuyahoga County court on June 7.

Meanwhile the Cleveland Better Business Bureau is warning consumers to do their homework before buying Cavaliers tickets to the NBA finals.

BBB President Sue McConnell told newsnet5.com to check on a ticket brokers rating and on-line feedback before making a buy.

"No not all ticket brokers are created equal," said McConnell.  "Some of those brokers had good ratings with us some were accredited.   I found one that had and "F" rating with us because they failed to answer recent complaints about their sales."

Cleveland ticket broker Scott Merk, who has run the successful Merk's ticket agency for 24 years, and issued a warning about buying tickets from individuals on Craigslist.

"Craigslist, you're taking a shot," said Merk.  "Do you actually know that person online through the internet.  With a broker or Flash Seats you know it's reputable, it's been there, it's going to be there."
