Alcohol was a factor in a fatal one-car crash on Saturday in Willoughby, police said.

According to the Willoughby Police Department, 73-year-old Rudolph R. Baitt of Eastlake was drunk when his 2006 Chevy pickup struck two pedestrians around 6:30 p.m. A 57-year-old female was pronounced dead at Lake West Medical Center. A 50-year-old man was airlifted to Metro Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The male victim was identified as Dean Capasso of Euclid. Authorities have not yet identified the female victim.

Baitt was not injured in the accident.

Police arrested the suspect and charged him with Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and OVI. The driver may be charged with additional crimes.

Baitt is expected in Willoughby Municipal Court on Monday morning.
