CLEVELAND - Anchor Danita Harris will present "An Evening of Hope," to help Transitional Housing, Inc.
For over 25 years, Transitional Housing, Inc. has worked to end the cycle of homelessness by providing homeless women with a safe environment, programs and services that promote self-sufficiency and independence without regard to race, color, national origin, sexual orientation or disability.
THI is one of the oldest and still one of the largest transitional housing programs in the United States. It serves between 100-125 women annually and has served over 2,000 women since its doors opened in 1984. In Cleveland, it is the only program of its kind that provides up to two years of supportive services to its clients and a holistic approach addressing a woman’s every need.
On Friday, August 29 starting at 7:30 p.m., Danita Harris will present a fundraising event titled "An Evening of Hope," to benefit Transitional Housing, Inc., featuring Grammy Award-Nominated Recording Artist Vashawn Mitchell and Stellar Award Winner Maurette Brown Clark.
The event will be held at Mount Zion Church of Oakwood Village located at 1 Mt. Zion Circle, Oakwood, Ohio 44116. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.eveningofhopebenefitconcert.eventbrite.com.
