The man in charge of safety and enforcement in Lorain County is now on the other side of the law, NewsChannel5 reported.

A jury convicted county safety service Director Craig Miller of obstruction of justice. Prosecutors accused Miller of misleading police while they were investigating Lorain sewer Superintendent Doug Johnson.

Johnson was convicted of using a friend's name to lease an excavator and a bulldozer he owns to the city for $30,000.

Miller faces up to a year in prison when sentenced. His attorney said he doesn't know if he'll appeal.
