19-Month-Old Suffers 3rd-Degree Burns In Bath

No Charges Expected

UPDATED: 6:33 pm EDT May 14, 2006

Lorain police do not plan to charge a mother whose baby was scalded by hot water Saturday.

Emergency crews transported the 19-month-old baby to MetoHealth Medical Center with second- and third-degree burns, NewsChannel5 reported.

Police said the baby's 13-year-old brother tried to give her a bath and the water was too hot.

The baby is recovering at the hospital.
