Exit Poll Says 90 Percent Of Voters Had No Problems

CLEVELAND -- The results of an exit poll for last week's primary election were released on Friday, showing that most people in Cuyahoga County had no problems at the polls.Joe Lenski of Edison Media Research said that 90 percent of voters said they had no issue with the new electronic voting machines.Of the 2,500 voters questioned, some did say they had a hard time finding their polling places or their names were not on the registration list.The exit poll found that many problems were taken care of immediately.There is an investigation under way into the problems surrounding the primary. A three-member election review committee has been formed.On the committee are Cleveland State law Professor Candice Hoke, Ohio Lottery Commission Director Thomas Hayes, and the committee is chaired by Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Ronald Adrine.An interim report is due by June 14, with a final report by July 17.
