People Scoop Up Cash After Robber Drops Bank Loot

POSTED: 1:50 pm EDT May 7, 2006

Cleveland police recovered $16 after a bank robber dropped his loot.

Bystanders outside the Charter One Bank on Puritas Avenue started scooping up the cash just before noon Saturday.

The suspected robber fled after getting the cash from a teller.

When the dye pack exploded, the man dropped the money, scattering cash all over the parking lot.

Police are still searching for the robber.
