Councilman Admits Drinking, Gets 10 Days In Jail

CLEVELAND -- Zachary Reed was given 10 days in jail for probation violation, NewsChannel5 reported. In court Tuesday, Reed admitted to drinking and driving, but he said he did not feel he was above the legal limit.He told the judge that he did not have a drinking problem. However, after being berated by the judge he admitted he was wrong.
April DUI Test Reed was ordered to undergo a formal alcohol assessment and a 24-hour alcohol monitor will be placed on his car.The probation violation stems from an April 2005 drunken driving conviction. At that time, he was placed on probation and his driver's license was suspended for six months.During the suspension, he was only allowed to drive to work.Reed began his jail time on Tuesday.
