Teachers Suspended After 'Inappropriate Acts' On Bus

Students Were Playing Truth Or Dare

POSTED: 2:20 pm EST March 31, 2006

Three teachers investigated after "inappropriate acts" on a bus last week during a field trip have been suspended without pay for three days, according to a Lorain City Schools news release.

Eight students, who are 12 to 13 years old, confessed to participating in ''inappropriate behavior'' on the back of the bus during the field trip.

The news release said the investigation determined that the Whittier Middle School students were not being supervised properly. There is no history of previous disciplinary action with the three teachers involved.

The district said it would reiterate to all staff members that there is a high level of supervision expected during field trips.

In written statements, students said one girl performed oral sex on a boy and girls mooned others. Officials have not confirmed the reports.

The eight students involved have been suspended.
