AKRON, Ohio -- The New York Times is reporting that the parent company of the Akron Beacon Journal is being bought by a much smaller media company.The Times says the McClatchy Co. will pay about $4.5 billion in cash and stock for Knight Ridder Inc.Knight Ridder is the second largest newspaper company in the country.
