ELYRIA, Ohio -- A Toyland is growing by leaps and bounds in Elyria, thanks to a man who wanted to do something special for needy children.Norman Wirth is on a mission to spread some holiday cheer, and is doing it by putting his money in local claw machines, and winning stuffed animals and other toys, reported NewsChannel5.Wirth has been on a winning streak for the past couple of years, and is donating his prizes to the Salvation Army. The former Elyria city worker asks for nothing in return. "Some kids that don't have anything will have something," said Wirth.Wirth has collected nearly 300 toys from about six grabbing machines in Lorain County restaurants and stores. He says he got hooked on the game a few years ago, but he always wanted kids to be the winners.
