CLEVELAND -- The trial for the accused Case Western Reserve University shooter Bizwanath Halder finally got under way Monday.NewsChannel5 reported Halder walked into court wearing his new court-allowed toupee. Halder is accused in the 2003 shooting spree that left one person dead. Prosecutors laid out their case, saying Halder was a vigilante who took the law into his own hands. Defense attorneys did not deny Halder was the shooter. "In Mr. Halder's mind on that day, he was choosing not to save himself, he was sacrificing himself in order to save mankind," said Kevin Cafferkey. The defense claims Halder was obsessed with cyber crime and that Case was harboring criminals. The judge also dismissed 136 of the 338 counts against Halder.
