CLEVELAND -- There was a slightly unusual turn of events in court Monday in the Biswanth Halder case, NewsChannel5 reported. Halder is accused of a deadly shooting rampage at Case Western Reserve University in May of 2003. One person was left dead in the incident. Halder is charged with 338 felony counts, including aggravated murder and terrorism in connection with a seven-hour shooting spree at Case Western Reserve University. The court took a recess, so that Halder could get a hairpiece. Jury selection was supposed to get under way in the case.WEWS reported the judge granted the recess based on religious beliefs that Halder can't be seen in public without his hairpiece. His attorney went to buy one. Before the recess was granted, the judge declared Halder competent to stand trial again. The defense said Halder's mental state had deteriorated even more, but the judge found those claims baseless.
