Father Hiring Lawyer To Fight For Kids

CLEVELAND -- A woman said three of the children who were adopted by a Huron couple are from her family. NewsChannel5 spoke with Sandra Bell, who said the children were taken from her brother six years ago when their mother disappeared and her brother was incarcerated. She said the older children were allowed to visit her, and as soon as she saw them she knew something was wrong. "My niece was thick, when she came back here she was real skinny, malnourished. She had long hair. She had no hair when she came back," Bell said. Several family members have tried to bring the children home, but were denied. The children's father said he is hiring a lawyer to fight for his children. No charges have been filed against Sharen and Michael Gravelle. They are accused of keeping nine of their adopted children in cages in their home in Clarksfield Township.
