WAKEMAN, Ohio -- An investigation has been launched into how the New York Post got a photo of the cages in a Huron County home, NewsChannel5 reported. Officials said the photo is not one of the 75 photos that the police department obtained as part of its investigation.Charges have not been filed against Michael and Sharen Gravelle. The prosecutor said he doesn't expect charges to be filed until Tuesday. The Gravelles' 11 children were placed in foster care after nine of them were found to be living in cages by officials. The Gravelles said the "enclosures" were meant to protect the children from themselves and each other because they had behavioral problems. The Associated Press reported the children, ages 1-14, have conditions that include autism, fetal alcohol syndrome and HIV. A 3-year-old has a disease called pica, described as an eating disorder in which children compulsively eat nonfood items such as dirt or rocks.Meanwhile, a Rent-A-Center in Norwalk donated a bunk bed, a color TV and a Playstation videogame to a foster parent who is caring for three of the 11 children placed in foster care. All of the 11 children have been removed from the home.
