Fisherman Reels In Live WWII Grenade

Bomb Squad To Detonate Grenade

POSTED: 6:32 pm EDT June 13, 2005

It's a fishing story that will be told in Lorain County for years to come.

A local fisherman didn't reel in the big one while casting on the banks of the Black River, but he did stumble across a live World War II grenade, NewsChannel5 reported.

The angler, who didn't want to be named, gave the grenade to police.

It will be detonated by the Lorain County Bomb Squad.
