Akron Man Found Guilty In Toddler's Murder

AKRON, Ohio -- A jury found an Akron man guilty Tuesday in the murder of his girlfriend's 13-month-old daughter, reported NewsChannel5. Daniel Duffield, 32, has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and murder in the death of Jacqueline Mae Cooper.Duffield was also found not guilty on a felonious assault charge.The toddler died last October. She suffered a broken neck, a severed liver and numerous other injuries. The child's mother, 25-year-old Vanessa McGlumphy, pleaded guilty last month to involuntary manslaughter and child endangering.She could receive up to 25 years in prison.There is no word yet on when Duffield will be sentenced.
