AKRON, Ohio -- Closing arguments were given Monday in the trial of an Akron man accused of killing his girlfriend's daughter, NewsChannel5 reported. The jury then began deliberations in the Daniel Duffield case. Duffield, 32, is charged with killing 13-month-old Jacqueline Mae Cooper last October.The toddler suffered a broken neck, a severed liver and numerous other injuries.But the defense claims there is no physical evidence linking him to the killing.Prosecutors say Duffield was the only one home alone with the child when she was last seen alive.The jury will continue to deliberate Tuesday.
