The trial of a 32-year-old Akron man charged with killing a toddler continued Thursday in Summit County.

Duffield
Prosecutors say Daniel Duffield killed his girlfriend's 13-month-old daughter, Jacqueline Mae Cooper.

The toddler suffered a broken neck, a severed liver and numerous other injuries.

The child's biological father took the stand for the prosecution Wednesday, and he described seeing his lifeless daughter in the hospital back in October.

The toddler's mother, Vanessa McGlumphy, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
