LORAIN, Ohio -- Students at a Lorain high school are under closer scrutiny after it was discovered that a student couple was having an inappropriate relationship in a classroom, reported NewsChannel5.

The situation uncovered at Admiral King High School this month involved a 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy who were arriving at school early, sneaking into the unlocked choir room, and having sex.

Lorain City Schools communications director Dean Schnurr said the problem has caused the district to look at policies and practices regarding early arrival.

According to a police report, on one occasion the student couple admitted to meeting at school before classes started and then getting a ride to the boy's home from another student's mom.

After another tryst, the couple caught a ride back to school from a friend.

The mother who was driving has been charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Because of the discovery, all students who arrive at Admiral King early can now only enter through one door.

When they arrive, they must report to the cafeteria, where they will be supervised until classes begin.

Lorain school officials continue to investigate the matter.

The students involved have been suspended, and may face the possibility of being expelled.

The students admitted to violating school policy, which will be addressed before the expulsion board.
