CLEVELAND -- Bill Cosby has canceled a speech had was scheduled to give at the music hall in Cleveland tonight.The famed entertainer was to talk about problems inside America's poor black communities.Plain Dealer columnist Sam Fullwood had been asked by Cosby to organize the event, but Fullwood could not determine why Cosby canceled.Some of Cosby's recent comments about black America have sparked controversy, but Cosby contended that his comments have been truthful, and that poor areas of black America should embrace education and responsibility, and shun crime.The mysterious cancellation is not the only one; Cosby cancelled other appearances slated for later as well.Those with tickets to tonight's event are advised to keep them in hopes that Cosby will soon reschedule the appearance.
