MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Search warrants filed Tuesday reveal more about a man charged with raping a missing 5-year-old Madison Township girl, WCMH-TV in Columbus reported.Lindsey Bruce, 23, is in custody in connection to the disappearance of Emily Rimel, who was last seen four weeks ago.According to the search warrants, the child's mother's boyfriend, Bruce Copley, said Emily went to bed at about 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 7. Copley said Bruce, who was his friend, came over to the home during the night and that everyone eventually fell asleep.

When Copley tried to call Bruce's cell phone, he said there was no answer.When questioned by police, Bruce told investigators that he left the apartment at 3:30 a.m. to work on a car. Police said Bruce's whereabouts were unknown for three hours.When Bruce did show up later that day, police said he was not cooperative.Police searched Bruce's car, and, according to court records, officers installed a tracking device on his car in hopes that it would lead them to Emily.The global positioning system tracking device stayed on Bruce's car until his arrest about a week later. These tracking devices are crime-fighting tools, but police will not say how often they are used and how many of them they have.Bruce was arrested after DNA reportedly linked him to the girl, but so far, he has not led police to Emily.Bruce remains in the Franklin County Jail and is not talking to police or the prosecutor's office about what he might know about the girl.If convicted of the rape and kidnapping charges, Bruce faces life in prison without a chance of parole.Emily is 3 feet tall and about 48 pounds. She is white and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a lavender shirt and purple pants.A $10,000 reward is being offered for information. The reward will be issued only if Emily is found alive or if the information leads to the arrest of the person or people responsible for taking her.Anyone with information on Emily should call (614) 462-5502.
