CINCINNATI -- A Xavier University basketball player has been charged with felonious assault and is expected to turn himself in Tuesday. Will Caudle, a 6-foot 9-inch, 240-pound center, is accused of sucker-punching a man from behind in a Norwood bar.The victim was knocked unconscious and required surgery for five fractures around his eye and face. The victim told Norwood Police he was trying to apologize to Caudle after his buddy tried to hit on Caudle's friend. The owner of Soupies Bar said Caudle wasn't in the bar that night."I was working the door that night, so if he would have come in the door, he would have come past me," bar owner Mike Campbell said.Campbell said he didn't witness the fight, but a handful of his staffers did. He said his staffers agreed that Caudle wasn't in the bar that night.Xavier officials said Caudle continues to practice with the team and will play this weekend because it is too premature to take any action against him.
