CLEVELAND -- More trouble is brewing for Cuyahoga County Recorder Pat O'Malley. NewsChannel5 learned that the FBI confiscated computers owned by O'Malley Wednesday morning in an ongoing child pornography investigation. The computers were taken from the Solon home now occupied by O'Malley's estranged wife, Vicky.Vicky O'Malley confirmed the raid at her home, saying, "They wanted computers that I had in my possession ... you do what the FBI tells you to do."Earlier this week, domestic charges against O'Malley were dropped. The charges stemmed from a July incident in which police said O'Malley attacked his wife. But prosecutors said there wasn't enough evidence against O'Malley to pursue the case. The O'Malleys are currently in a custody battle for their children. In a statement, O'Malley said, "The allegations stem from a contentious divorce and I want to make it clear I will cooperate fully with investigators to clear my name and reputation.""The focus of my life is to be a loving father to my children and to continue to work hard for the people of Cuyahoga County as County Recorder."O'Malley has not been charged with anything yet in this case. The FBI is not commenting on why or how they came to conduct the search.
