Ohio Homes Struck By Lightning

Lightning Bolt Shatters Windows, Sets House On Fire

UPDATED: 8:14 am EDT June 13, 2004

Two Columbus-area homes were struck by lightning Saturday, WCMH-TV reported.

In one home in Genoa Township, the bolt shattered a window and the fire damaged one side of the house.

Another lightning bolt struck on Lakebrook Lane in Dublin. It didn't do damage to the home, but split the tree in the front yard and broke the natural gas line.

The homeowner said it was the third lighting strike on the block.

No one was hurt in either strike.
