Parma Dillard's To Close
Mall Officials Say The Store Will Be Replaced
They won't be filled with anything from Dillard's.
NewsChannel5 reports that Dillard's plans to close the store at the mall and seven other locations across the country.
Disappointing holiday sales and the reduction of inventory is responsible for the closings. The Little Rock, Ark.-based retailer said that fourth-quarter earnings dropped 32 percent from a year earlier.
The Parmatown store has 140 full-time and part-time employees.
Mall officials say that the store will be replaced. It is currently one of three anchor stores.
Dilliard's and its predecessor, Higbee Co., have been tenants at the mall since it opened 45 years ago.
