SLIDESHOW: Snakehead Fish Confiscated
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources found four snakehead fish in Their World Pet Store, where they were reportedly for sale. The fish, an Asian species, can grow up to 4 feet long and have been illegal in Ohio since 2002.
Because the fish are a saltwater variety, they would not have survived long in Lake Erie; however, they could have caused significant damage before dying by eating everything in sight.
Schultz will appear before Judge Michael Cicconetti Tuesday.
